:: Duties
Preparing and filing patent and industrial design applications, including electronic submissions, with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO)
Preparing and filing patent applications, including electronic submissions, with the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO)
Managing patent and industrial design deadlines, maintaining dockets and priorities
Corresponding with clients, examiners, and foreign associates
Managing files, docketing time entries, and preparing bills
Completing various legal administrative duties as assigned
:: Requirements
Language(s): English
Education: Legal administrative assistant diploma, or equivalent is an asset, but not required.
Administrative assistant experience, including in the field of patent and industrial design prosecution, is an asset, but not required. *Post-hire training will be provided.
Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat or Nuance Power PDF
Experience with FreshBooks and AppColl would be an asset.
Self-discipline to work efficiently in a remote situation
Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
